We're building a future where retailers can eliminate the massive operational overhead and technical debt associated with online checkout and payments, and where customers can buy instantly and securely across the internet. To solve such a large problem, we've put together an incredible team and are selectively adding to it. Bolt's people are its most valuable resource, and as an HR Generalist you will work closely with company leadership to build, improve, and carry out its people functions. Although certain qualifications are always essential for succeeding, like knowledge of labor laws and employee rights, having the ability to build trust and to create a safe atmosphere are both extremely important skills to Bolt for this person to have. Responsibilities

  • Advocate for employees
  • Build out employee handbook
  • Help build out the benefits program and be a go-to resource
  • Train managers how to handle HR related issues
  • File: FMLA, Parental Leave, Workers Comp, Employment verifications, terminations, etc...
  • Build out termination process and train managers on best practices

Requirements

  • College degree (preferably in business or human resources)
  • PHR/SPHR
  • State specific employee/employer law knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Experience with startups
  • Broad knowledge base of HRIS/Payroll systems
  • Multi-site experience is a plus
  • Multi-state labor law and employee rights laws experience also a plus
