We're building a future where retailers can eliminate the massive operational overhead and technical debt associated with online checkout and payments, and where customers can buy instantly and securely across the internet. To solve such a large problem, we've put together an incredible team and are selectively adding to it. As Bolt’s first instructional designer, you’ll create scalable learning solutions for our quickly growing customer base, partnering with a wide array of cross-functional teams to identify training requirements and deliver on training needs. Your creative problem solving abilities and passion for education will allow you to build engaging content that empowers our merchants with the knowledge and confidence to run successful businesses using Bolt. You'll

  • Build and maintain customer training materials, including infographics, e-learning, presentation slides, and instructor-led training courses.
  • Administer customer training materials through an LMS or other means.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, support, customer success, and product marketing to ensure that your training materials are of high quality, address key customer learning needs, and represent the Bolt brand and product appropriately.
  • Measure success of customer education programs in partnership with customer education leadership, and iterate on training materials based on these metrics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and administering training materials at scale for B2B  and/or SaaS customers
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn technical concepts, and explain technical concepts to non-technical learners
  • Expertise in e-learning technology, such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline.
  • Experience with graphic design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and video editing software (Final Cut, Adobe Premier) a plus.
